{"id":198,"date":"2011-08-12T11:24:57","date_gmt":"2011-08-12T11:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/denleymusic.com\/primaryblog\/?p=198"},"modified":"2011-08-12T11:24:57","modified_gmt":"2011-08-12T11:24:57","slug":"2011-presentation-song-revision-uno-style","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/?p=198","title":{"rendered":"2011 Presentation Song Revision UNO Style"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-201\" title=\"Primary Uno_Page_5\" src=\"http:\/\/denleymusic.com\/primaryblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5-1024x724.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5-1024x724.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5-300x212.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5-768x543.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5-1536x1086.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno_Page_5-2048x1448.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/a>I have been reading a few other Primary Music Leader blogs (<a title=\"this one\" href=\"http:\/\/singwithmetoo.blogspot.com\/2011\/08\/i-know-words-do-u-no-them.html\">this one<\/a>\u00a0and <a title=\"this one\" href=\"http:\/\/divinesecretsofaprimarychorister.blogspot.com\/2009\/07\/uno-singing.html\">this one<\/a>) and they mention using the Uno game to revise tricky verses to songs.\u00a0 It seems that\u00a0it justs keeps getting added to and I loved the concept so much,\u00a0so here is my addition:-<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/ldsprimary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Primary-Uno1.pdf\">PRIMARY UNO CARDS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how it works:-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0You choose one verse of a song that you need to revise.\u00a0 Divide that verse up into four sections, and print each of those sections out on 4 different colours of paper (or use the coloured paper as a background).\u00a0 You&#8217;ll have one part of the verse red, one part yellow, one part blue and one part blue.\u00a0 Stick those up on the wall.<\/li>\n<li>Divide your Primary up into teams (either rows or classes).\u00a0 Give each team 7 cards each (rig them if you must, so each team gets a couple of action cards as well).<\/li>\n<li>Now here&#8217;s where it differs a little from\u00a0the normal game of Uno: the aim is not to match up the colours of the cards.\u00a0 It doesn&#8217;t matter which card the\u00a0children put down, so long as their team doesn&#8217;t put down two action cards in a row.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>There are &#8216;action&#8217; Uno cards (that are fairly self explanatory &#8211; &#8216;Draw Two&#8217;, &#8216;Draw 4&#8217;, &#8216;Skip&#8217;, &#8216;Reverse&#8217; and &#8216;Wild&#8217;).<\/li>\n<li>Wild cards need a little explanation.\u00a0 The children can choose to sing&#8230;standing on one leg, holding their nose, with their hands in the air, with their eyes closed etc.\u00a0 You may have ones in your stash of Primary goodies that you can use in this instance (or there are some here:<a href=\"http:\/\/divinesecretsofaprimarychorister.blogspot.com\/2008\/11\/sing-like.html\">http:\/\/divinesecretsofaprimarychorister.blogspot.com\/2008\/11\/sing-like.html<\/a>) .<\/li>\n<li>There are also plain coloured cards.\u00a0 If\u00a0a red card is\u00a0put down,\u00a0everyone has to sing the part of the verse on the red paper.
