Note Race Card Backs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A game I use with my students that needed a little ‘Dr Seuss-ing’.<\/p>\n

For Violin:-<\/p>\n

– Put the cards on the music stand<\/p>\n

– You need two or more players<\/p>\n

– Remove the Middle C card.\u00a0 It isn’t needed on the violin<\/p>\n

– Each player takes a turn turning over a card<\/p>\n

– Start from the lowest note. ie, if the first player turns over a ‘G’, they have to play the lowest G on the violin.\u00a0 Second player turns over a card.\u00a0 If they turn over an ‘F’, they have to the play an ‘F’ higher than the first note (ie would be second finger on the D string).\u00a0 Keep turning over cards and going higher and higher on the violin.\u00a0 The player who can go the highest wins!\u00a0 Great for reviewing position work.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For Piano:-<\/p>\n

– Put the cards on the piano stand<\/p>\n

– Two players are needed<\/p>\n

– It’s your choice to keep one or two Middle C cards in – two if you want a really fast game.<\/p>\n

– Choose your end of the piano.\u00a0 Turn over cards alternating between players, and work your way into the centre of the piano.\u00a0 First player to turn over a ‘Middle C’ card wins.<\/p>\n
