{"id":189,"date":"2010-06-26T02:28:00","date_gmt":"2010-06-26T02:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/denleymusic.com\/wordpress\/?p=189"},"modified":"2010-06-26T02:28:00","modified_gmt":"2010-06-26T02:28:00","slug":"giant-floor-flash-cards-beginner-violin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.denleymusic.com\/musicblog\/giant-floor-flash-cards-beginner-violin\/","title":{"rendered":"Giant Floor Flash Cards &#8211; Beginner Violin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>How to get those poor confused beginners to learn the symbols for\u00a0Up bow, Down Bow, Crotchet, Minim, Semibreve, Quaver and Treble Clef.\u00a0 I play this game sometime in the first few lessons with my beginners.\u00a0 It also gives them a chance to put their violin down and shake their tired arms out.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is that you need two different colours of paper (I have orange and blue).\u00a0 For the Giant Floor Cards, you need one colour for the words, and a different colour for the music symbols.\u00a0 You need the opposite for your flash cards (ie I have orange for my giant floor symbols, and orange for my word flash cards, blue for my giant floor words and blue for my music symbol flash cards).
