Some teachers like to use landmark notes, others use ‘rhymes’ or mnemonics to memorise the lines and spaces.\u00a0 I like to use a combination of both – you can’t go wrong then \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

I have these posters on the wall in my\u00a0teaching area\u00a0above my piano.\u00a0 Most of my students don’t need to look at them, but they come in handy for my littlies who may have trouble remembering and need a reminder.<\/p>\n

The bass clef lines ‘rhyme’ is a tad disrespectful to poor Granny, but my grandmother thought it was a huge joke and wasn’t offended at all, and you can guarantee that this is one rhyme\/mnemonic students WILL remember.<\/p>\n
